The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was held on December 8, 2009 at 8 PM at the town hall. All board members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were presented by Clerk Fall. Motion by Degerman, second by Hoff to approve. Motion carried. Treasurer Nelson presented a financial update. Motion by Nelson, secon by Degerman to accept. Motion carried.
Maynard reviewed the drafted road plan. A final draft will be presented at the next meeting. He also informed the board that the TRIP documents were completed and filed at the county. More information will be presented at future meetings. The PASER report will be filed by December 15th.
The Board discussed the need for a land use plan. Supervisor Nelson had spoken with a rep from the Wisconsin Towns Association, who noted that our municipality may not be held to the required plan as had been implied. He sited two reasons; we are not under county zoning and don’t have official town maps. Maynard agreed to attend the land use meeting/open house at Rice Lake on December 10th to get more feedback. This issue may be brought back at future meetings. No action was taken.
No further highway maintenance was discussed. Bills were presented for review and payment. Motion by Degerman, second by Hoff to approve for payment. Motion carried. Next meeting was set for January 7, 2010 at 8 PM. Agenda at that meeting will include the appointment of election officials for the Town of Arland. Motion and second to adjourn. Motion carried.
