The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman, Maynard Hoff on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 7:00 PM
The minutes of the previous meeting were presented by Clerk Fall, followed by a motion to approve by Robert Nelson second. by Brad Wolf. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report shows a current balance of $188,817.25. Noted that our CDs will be due I early July. Motion was made to accept the report as presented any Maynard Hoff second by Bra Wolf. Motion carried.
Phil Hoff discussed current highway repairs – 8 1/2 ave and 7th ave, by the Nelson driveway. He gave an update on crack sealing – adding on additional roads. Phil discussed bridge inspections noting that the Board need to meet to review status on bridges.
Board discussed the process o replacing property numbers signs. Phil has spent significant tine on replacing them but it has been very tedious.
Sharon Masek gave an update on the current work and future for Superior Silica Sands.
Chuck Richard spoke during Public Comment on a driveway concern.
Bills were preened for payment. Motion was made to approve by Brad Wolf, second by Maynard Hoff. Motion carried.
Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11 2019 at 7:00 PM>
Clerk reminded that Open Book was scheduled for Thursday, May 23rd 5 – 7 PM, Board of Review is scheduled for Thursday May 30th 7-9 PM.
Robert gave an update o the Fire Dept meeting.
