The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman, Maynard Hoff, at 6:309 PM on Thursday, May 13, 2021, with all board members present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were presented by Clerk Fall, followed by a motion to approve by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards. Motion carried. Treasurer’s update included the current balance of $208,003.34 in the general checking account. Motion to accept was made by Brad Wolf, second by Maynard Hoff. Motion carried.
Highway maintenance update was given by Phil Hoff. Board reviewed the various options for upgrading the Town Shop, including the bid to reside by Jeff Shatley – $10,500. Chuck Richards offered the option of painting the shop. He will secure a bid from Harry Joles and present at the next meeting. Phil discussed highway maintenance quotes for crack sealing from Fahrner. Various other project were considered by the board, referring the to Road Plan. Consensus by the board was to go ahead with contracting with Fahrner and Barron County for those projects.
Bills were presented for consideration. Discussion followed. Motion to approve all for payment was made by Maynard Hoff, second by Chuck Richards. Motion carried.
Next meeting date was set for Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 6:30 PM.
