The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman, Maynard Hoff, with all board members present
Clerk Fall presented the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion to approve was Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards. Motion carried.
Treasurer, Jodene Nelson, presented a financial update. She noted a current balance in the general checking account of $336,586.59, ARPA savings balance $79,380.40 and 2 CDs totaling approximately $513,000. Motion was made to accept by Chuck Richards, second by Brad Wolf. Motion carried.
Phil Hoff gave an update on highway maintenance, discussing need for barricades for the roads that will be closed for bridge work. Motion was made by Maynard Hoff, second by Chuck Ricards to authorize Phil to purchase two sets totaling $920.00. Motion carried. Phil gave an update on other mowing and maintenance.

Board reviewed the bills. Board discussed prepay fuel from Synergy. Motion was made by Chuck Richards, second by Brad Wolf to pay all bills as presented along with a prepay fuel contract for $5,000. Motion carried.
Board discussed the liability and any concerns with having Remi Hoff continue to cut lawn for the Town of Arland. Board considered his age (12 years old), as the biggest concern, as well as needing a work permit from the school. Consensus was that he should only cut lawn and a permit should be obtained.
Next meeting was set for Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 6:30 PM. Reminder of the Board of Review set for Monday, August 19th from 6-8 PM.
