1210-Oct.11,2012

The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Supervisor Robert Nelson.  Board members also present were Dale Degerman and Pamela Fall.  Absent:  Maynard Hoff and Jodene Nelson.  Patrol Operator Jason Bruder was present along with seven residents.

Minutes of the previous meeting were presented by Clerk Fall.  Motion by Nelson, second by Degerman to approve.  Motion carried.  Treasurer’s report was given by Clerk Fall.  Motion to approve by Degerman, second by Nelson.  Motion carried.

Jason gave an update on highway maintenance.  He discussed the road maintenance needed.  He will complete a ride around with Maynard and a representative from Fahrner on crack sealing needs and get a proposal.

It was noted that there is a scheduled Barron County Highway meeting on November 7th.

Sharon Masek was present to give an update on behalf of Superior Silica Sands and work currently being done on the wet plant site as well as the dry plant near Poskin.  She noted that area wells had been tested within 1/4 mile of the wet plant site.

Midwest Frac was not present to discuss their operation.

Brad Wolf asked if the Town would share the cost of a fence between his place and the ball field.  Board authorized Jason to work with Brad.

No public comment.

Bills were presented for payment.  Motion to approve by Degerman, second by Nelson.  Motion carried.

Next meeting is set for Tuesday, November 13, 2012 which will be the regular meeting followed by the Budget Hearing and Special Meeting to set the levy.
