The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman, Maynard Hoff on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 7:00 PM. All board members were present. Clerk Fall presented the minutes of the October meeting, followed by a motion to approve by Robert Nelson, second by Brad Wolf. Motion carried. Treasurer, Jodene Nelson presented the financial update, followed by a motion to accept by Brad Wolf, second by Maynard Hoff Motion carried. Current balance in the general fund is $181,358.49. Jodene discussed the annual letter that she will be including in the tax statements After discussion, it was determined that she should include information on the Spring Clean Up voucher. The actual $25.00 voucher will be printed and included in the statements.
Phil Hoff gave an update on highway work and winter plowing a well as the shouldering work in the Dority Creek area. Maynard presented the bid from Barron co Highway for 6 1/2 Ave from Cty F to Hay River, just under 1 mile for reconstruction – Bid presented was $238,500.00.
Sharon Masek gave an update from Suprior Silica Sands, noting that plants had shut down early this year. She also reported that the Arland Dry Plant is not operating currently. Some employees are working temporarily in Texas for Superior Silica.

Bills were presented for payment. Motion to approve all by Maynard Hoff, second by Brad Wolf. Motion carried.
