The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman, Maynard Hoff, with all board members present. Clerk Fall presented the minutes of the August meeting followed by a motion to approve by Brad Wolf, second by Maynard Hoff. Motion carried. Treasurer, Jodene Nelson gave the financial update, followed by a motion to accept by Brad Wolf, second by Robert Nelson. Motion carried.
Phil Hoff gave the highway maintenance update. he noted that all planned projects for 2017 have been completed.
Sharon Masek from Superior Silica Sands gave an update on the work being done currently at the mines. The Amendment to the Developers Agreement was presented by Sharon. This authorizes Superior Silica Sands to mine under the water table at the FLS mine. Board discussion followed. Motion for approval to go forward with the process by Maynard Hoff, second by Brad Wolf. Motion carried. This will need to go to the County for a hearing.
Building Inspector Agreement was presented for signature per the action at the last meeting. Signed documents will be sent to Scott Scheifelbien for his signatures.
