The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman, Maynard Hoff, with all board members present. Minutes of the previous meeting were presented by Clerk Fall, followed by a motion to approve from Brad Wolf, second by Robert Nelson. Motion carried.
Treasurer, Jodene Nelson presented the financial update. Motion was made to accept report by Maynard Hoff, followed by a second from Robert Nelson. Motion carried. Current general fund balance is $228,936.20, with 2 current CDs totaling approximately $420,000.00.
Phil Hoff gave a brief update on highway maintenance. discussion of the rental of the patching trailer resulted in setting a rate of $75.00 per use.
The fence issue was considered again. Clerk Fall presented a copy of the letter that Attorney Mahler had sent to Tyler Siebert and Sarah Prinsen. Discussion followed. Motion was made by Robert Nelson, second by Brad Wolf to secure Cory Hornick to repair the fence. Motion carried. Invoice for the repair may be divided between the property owners. Further discussion at the next meeting will be held.
A brief report was given by Sharon Masek from Superior Silica Sands.
Clerk Fall presented information regarding the 2019 Act 185 Waiver of Property Tax Interest and Penalties – Due to COVID 19 Pandemic. Discussion and action may be taken at the next regular meeting.
Open Book was set for May 13, 2020 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM and Board of Review is set for May 21, 20230 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
Bills were presented for review. Motion to approve all for payment was made by Maynard Hoff, second by Robert Nelson. Motion carried.
