The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman, Maynard Hoff on Tuesday, November 14 2023 at 6:00 PM. All board members were present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were presented by Clerk Fall. Motion to approve was made by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards. Motion carried.
Treasurer, Jodene Nelson, presented the financial update. She noted a general checking balance of $202,208.51. She also noted balances in CDs of $152,595.36 (currently due), two other CDs – each $250,000. (due 2024). Discussion followed. Motion made by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards to authorize the renewal of the maturing CD and approve the report as presented. Motion carried.
Highway report was presented by Phil Hoff, noting removal of the beaver dam as well as discussion on equipment maintenance.

Treasurer Nelson presented the proposed tax letter. Discussion followed. The letter was modified to include some update information on fees and not regarding snow plowing statute
Bills were presented for review. Motion made by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards to approve all for payment. Motion carried.
Next meeting was set for Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 6:30 PM
Chuck noted that Amy Richards would not be meaning the hall in the future. Jill Kurschner was recommended to do the work if she is interested. Clerk Fall will contact her.
