The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman Maynard Hoff on Thursday, September 09, 2010 at 8 PM. All board members were present, as well as patrolman Jason Bruder.
Minutes of the August meeting were presented by Clerk Fall. Motion by Robert Nelson to approve, second by Maynard Hoff. Motion carried. Treasurer Nelson presented a financial update. Motion by Dale Degerman to approve, second by Robert Nelson. Motion approved.
The board discussed the results of the road inspection trip. A highway maintenance plan will be developed for this year and future years. Jason gave an update on culvert work. It was also noted that Monarch will be working on TT. This will be turned in for TRIP funds. Maynard discussed crack sealing. Consideration will be given to doing this next year. More information will follow at future meetings.
Discussion was given to investing $30,000 for the Machinery Fund. Treasurer Nelson and Clerk Fall were instructed to secure the best CD rate at a local bank for approximately a 12 month term. Motion and second to approve this purchase. Motion carried.

Thank you to Vic Keller for his dedication in serving the Town of Arland for the past 20+ years. A cake was served to honor Vic. Several family members and friends were in attendance. A gift card was presented to Vic as a special thank you.
Bills were reviewed. Motion by Nelson, second by Hoff to pay as presented. Motion carried.
Next meeting is scheduled for October 7, 2010 at 8 PM.
