The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman Maynard Hoff at 6:00 PM on Thursday, December 8, 2022. All board members were present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were presented by Clerk Fall. Discussion followed. Motion to approve was made by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards. Motion carried,
Treasurer, Jodene Nelson, presented the financial update. Discussion followed. She noted a current general checking account balance of $189,419.15. She also noted a balance in the ARPA Savings of $79,410.42 and. alliances in 2 Machinery/Highway Improvement Fund CDs — 6-month CD – $200,099.72, 12-monthe CD – $313,943.62, Discussion also include n increase of $50,000.00 to the machinery/highway improvement investment. This would be added to the 6-,month CD high will be maturing on December 30, 2022. Motion was made by Brad Wolf to accept the Treasurer’s report and the investment plan. Chuck Richards seconded the motion. Motion was approved,
Phil Hoff gave the highway update noting maintenance on the truck as well as sanding and snow plowing update.

Bills were presented for review. Discussion followed. Motion to approve for payment was made by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards. Motion carried.
Next meeting dates were set as follows: Wednesday, January 11, 202 – Caucus at 6:00 PM. Regular meeting at 6:30 PM or immediately following Caucus.
Motion was made by Chuck Richards to go into Closed Session per Wis. Stats. 19.85 (1)(c) for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Board may return to open session for any action. Roll call vote showed all board members voted in favor. Motion approved.
Motion was made to return to open session by Maynard Hoff. Motion was seconded by Chuck Richards. Motion carried
Motion was made by Chuck Richards, second by Maynard Hoff to approve the new employment contract for Phil Hoff, Motion carried
