The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman Maynard Hoff at 8:00 PM. Minutes of the previous meeting were presented by Clerk Fall, followed by a motion to approve by Brad Wolf, second by Maynard Hoff. Motion carried. The treasurer’s balance was presented, showing a balance of $655,014.16 as of September 30th. Motion to accept by Robert Nelson, second by Wolf. Motion carried.
A certified survey map was presented for approval, noting Phil Hoff as property owner. Motion to approve by Nelson, second by Wolf. Motion carried. Hoff abstained.
Highway maintenance update was given by Phil Hoff, including work on bridges and culverts. Sharon Masek gave a report from Superior Silica Sands, noting the work currently being done at the mining sites and hauling plans for the following weeks. She also discussed the bridge work scheduled for Cty P (7th Ave).
Bids were presented for the tractor and mower attachment. Baribeau Implement, Tractor Central, Frontier Ag and Value Implement gave bids making trade in allowances. After discussion, a motion was made by Wolf and second by Hoff to accept the bid from Frontier Ag totaling approximately $88,500. Motion carried.
Plans were discussed to sell the yellow truck through the Hansen & Young sales in November. Motion by Hoff, second by Wolf to approve sale. Motion carried.
It was noted that Greg’s Excavating had a patching hot pot for sale at the upcoming auction. Concurrence by board to allow a board member to offer a bid up to $6,000 for the unit. Motion by Hoff to allow this bid, second by Wolf. Motion carried.

Bills were presented and reviewed for payment. Motion to approve all by Nelson, second by Wolf. Motion carried.
Next regular meeting will be held on November 10, 2015 at 7:30 PM, followed by the Budget Hearing and Special Meeting at approximately 8:30 PM, or immediately following the regular meeting.
