The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman, Maynard Hoff, with all board members present Minutes of the previous meeting were presented by Clerk Fall. A motion to approve was made by Robert Nelson, second by Brad Wolf. Motion carried. Treasurer, Jodene Nelson gave the financial update. A motion was made by Brad Wolf, second by Robert Nelson. Motion carried.
Phil Hoff gave the highway update. He presented information and quotes for replacing the garage door openers on the town shop. Discussion followed. Motion was made by Maynard hoff, second by Robert Nelson to approve both door openers. Motion carried.
Sharon Masek gave the Superior Silica Sands report, updating the board on the current operations at the mine sites. They expect to operate another month or so depending on weather. Trucking will continue as usual.
No public comment was given. Bills were presented and reviewed. Motion was made by Brad Wolf to approve all for payment, second by Maynard Hoff. Motion carried.
Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14th. Regular meeting at 7:00 PM,wi th the Budget Hearing and Special Meeting to follow at 7:30 PM.
Maynard noted that there would be TRIP program meeting coming soon to consider attending.
Fire meeting is schedule for October 17, 2017.
