The regular meeting for the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order at 6:30 PM by Chairman, Maynard Hoff. All board members were present. Clerk Fall presented the minutes of the May meeting. Motion was made to approve by Brad Wolf, second by Robert Nelson. Motion carried.
Treasurer, gave the financial update. Balance currently in the working checking account is $197,354.00. She also reported the two CDs being held by the Town total approximately $416,000.00. with one coming due in July. Motion was made to accept as presented by Robert Nelson, second by Maynard Hoff. Motion carried. Board discussed the renewal of the $106,000 CD and determined that it should be deposited into the general checking when due.

Highway report was given by Phil Hoff. He noted work recommended for this summer would include completion of 6 1/2 Ave and 7 1/2 St, as well as the corner of 7th Ave and 7 1/2 St, blacktopping by the Barron Co Highway. He also noted culvert work needed. Phil presented an estimate of painting on the town shop may be $4000. He will be looking at other options for re-tinning the shop, but has not secured any estimates. More information will be presented at future meetings.
Fence repair was discussed. Maynard had talked to Sarah Prinsen, explaining that the fence must meet inspection if they do the repair themselves. Cory Hornick has been hired to do the work, but has not been available currently to complete the job. Robert Nelson will continue to work with him and this project and may need to secure additional witness to the work. Robert will keep the board alerted to this project as it develops.
Bills were presented for consideration. Motion was made by Brad Wolf second by Robert Nelson to approve all for payment. Motion carried.
