The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman, Maynard Hoff, with all board members present.   Minutes of the previous meeting were presented by Clerk Fall.  Motion to approve was made by Chuck Richards, second by Brad Wolf.  Motion carried.

Treasurer Jodene Nelson presented the financial update.  She noted a current general checking balance of $264,363. 31.  Motion to accept was made by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards.  Motion carried

Motion was made by Brad Wolf second by Maynard Hoff to accept and approve the 2021 Financial Audit.   Motion carried. Board members signed the documents.

Phil Hoff gave the highway update.  He lead discussion with the board on various repairs needed on equipment due to recent heavy ice and snow removal.  Phil presented a quote from John Deere for a new loader/backhoe.  The quote would include a trade in of our current machinery which is 17 years old with approx 2000 hrs.  More discussion will take place at future meetings.

Phil also discussed the quote received from Wohlk Heating on a new/installed furnace.  The quote was listed at $3,935.00.  Motion was made by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards to approve the purchase and agreement with Wohlk.  Motion carried.  Phil will contact him to make the plan for installation at his earliest availability.

Road bans will be placed on Town of Arland roads effect on Monday, March 14th.

Board will attend a WTA meeting in Cumberland on Friday, April 8th.

Family House update was given by Duana Bremer and Autumn Hoff.  Staff is working at the facility, although the heating is not good.  They have been able to help families through this time.  Cedar Corp has been hired to be the architects for this project.  More information will be presented throughout the coming months.

Bills were presented for review. Motion was made to approve all for payment by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards. Motion carried.

Next meeting was set for Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 6:30 PM.  This will be a regular meeting and also the Annual Meeting to follow.
