The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman, Maynard Hoff on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 7:00 PM with all board members present. Clerk Fall presented the minutes from the November meeting, followed by a motion to approve by Brad Wolf, second by Maynard Hoff. Motion carried.
Treasurer, Jodene Nelson resented the financial update, followed by a motion to accept by Maynard Hoff, second by Brad Wolf. Motion carried. She noted a current balance of $217,724.38 in the general checking, along with two CDs totaling approximately $410,000. Discussion followed on the renewal of CDs. Board agreed to renew one at 6 mo term and the second at a 1-yr term. Treasurer Nelson will secure the renewals and present final totals.
Phil Hoff gave a brief update on highway maintenance. He discussed that he had ordered the 911 residence signs and invoice would be coming soon. Total amount $4,63400.
Sharon Masek gave an update on Superior Silica Sands current operation and future plans.
No public comment given.
Bills were presented for consideration. Motion by Robert Nelson to approve all for payment, included will be a pre-payment to Barron co Highway for $85,000. Motion seconded by Brad Wolf. Motion carried.
Next meeting was scheduled for Monday, January 13, 2020 at 6:30 PM.
