The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 6:00 PM by Chairman, Maynard Hoff. All board members were present.

Minutes of the August meeting we’re presented by Clerk Fall. Motion to approve was made by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards. Motion carried.

Treasurer Nelson presented the financial update. She noted a balance in the general checking account of $215,530.55. ARPA savings balance is $63,439.07 and 3 CDs totaling $650,000. Motion to accept the report was made by Chuck Richards, second by Brad Wolf. Motion carried.

Former Barron County Highway Commissioner, Mark Servi was present to discuss his new role as a Facilitator foe LRIP in Barron County. He discussed the changes in administration of the program. He provided information for our Town on how to apply for the scoping support through the Wisconsin Towns Association. He urged that we made the request ASAP to be one of the first 40 municipalities to receive the selection fo such service. Clerk Fall was directed to send an email to the WTA’s contact for such consideration.

Mark also discussed his new role as an advisor to municipalities. He provided a contract which would authorize the Board to work with him in the future. One service he would assist on would be the annual WISLR report. No commitment of money was required. Board will consider this service at future meetings.

Phil gave the Board an update on highway maintenance. Consideration was given to the specific project the the LRIP grant could be used foe. Final recommendation will be presented at the next meeting to be used in the LRIP application.

Board also heard concerns raiding tree on 7th Ave that may need to be cut.

Bills were presented for consideration. Motion was made by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards to approve all for payment. Motion carried

Next meeting was set doe Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 6:00 PM.

No further business or correspondence was presented.
