The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman, Maynard Hoff on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 8 PM at the town hall. All board members were present, Vic Keller-patrol operator and 10 residents.
Minutes of the previous meeting were presented by Clerk Fall, with a motion by Degerman and second by Nelson to approve. Motion carried. Treasurer Nelson presented a financial update. Motion by Hoff, second by Degerman to accept. Motion carried.
Keller gave an update on highway maintenance projects noting that the large project by Barron County on 11th Ave (Wichart Rd) was now completed as well as shouldering. Board discussed the need to purchase cold mix and what roads needed work. Vic was authorized to purchase at best price and use his discretion on which roads.
There was no additional information available on the sand mining project. Maynard noted that the trip to Menomonie plant was very successful, approximately 20 people attended, with many questions answered.

Bills were presented for review and payment. Motion by Degerman, second by Hoff to approve for payment. Motion carried. Thanks to Jodene for purchasing another new flag.
Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8th.
