The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman, Maynard Hoff, on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 6:00 PM with all board members present.

Clerk Fall presented the minutes of the previous meeting.  Discussion followed.  Motion was made to approve by Chuck Richards, second by Brad Wolf.  Motion carried.

Treasurer, Jodene Nelson, presented the financial u[date. She noted she had completed the tax collection and was making final settlements to County and Schools.  She also reported the current balance in the general checking account (1/31/2023) of $756,681.43  ( which includes all tax payments and matured CD).  Other CD balance is $250,442.06, ARPA Savings balance $63,383.82.  Motion to accept the report was made by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards.  Motion carried.

Phil Hoff provided the highway report.  He gave update on equipment repairs needed.  Discussion followed.  Motion was made by huckster’s Richards, second by Brad Wolf to authorize Phil to order/purchase parts as needed.  Board also discussed the need to hire Andy Nelson as part tine back up for Phil.

The CSM for the Richards property was presented to the board for discussion and action.  Motion was made to authorize Maynard Hoff to sign the document by Brad Wolf, second by Maynard Hoff.  Motion carried

Board discuss the process of potentially removing the cement slabs by David Lange driveway and 2nd one to the south.  These were placed by Superior Silica Sands during their mining operation.  Phil is to look Ito who could do the excavation.

Bills were presented foe review and payment.  Discussion followed.  Motion was made to approve all for payment by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards.  Motion carried

Next meeting was set for Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 5:30 beginning with the annual financial audit.  Regular meeting will begin at 6:00 PM or immediately following the audit.
