0910-SPECIAL-10/24/09

A special meeting was held on Saturday, October24, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the town hall.  Chairman Hoff called the meeting to order with Supervisors Nelson and Degerman, Clerk Fall present.  Also present were Tim Leisz and eight other residents.

Purpose of the special meeting was to get additional information regarding the request for liquor license and potential purchase of land by Tim Leisz.  He addressed those present, noting that he had staked the property out to determine how much of the ball field area he would actually need for the bar and parking area.  He determined that the required minimum one acre would actually cut into the ball field and would not allow enough area for sufficient parking as well as the use of the ball field.  It was concluded that the area he was intereted in would not be suitable for this request.  He is still interested in securing a liquor license if he is able to purchase other property in the Town of Arland.

No public comments were taken, as the property request has been dropped.  This issue may be presented at future town meetings for consideration if additional information or requests are made available.
