The regular meeting of the Board of the Town of Arland was called to order by Chairman, Maynard Hoff on Tuesday, January 15, 2025 at 6:00 PM with all board members present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were presented by Clerk Fall. Motion to approve made by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards. Motion carried.
Treasurer Nelson presented the financial update of the Town of Arland. She noted a balance of $50,073.24 as of end of year. She also reported a summary of the CDs at the Sterling Bank. Motion to accept was made by Chuck Richards, second by Brad Wolf. Motion carried.
Philip an Linda Johnson were present to request Board approval of the Special Exception/Variance for their camping park. Motion to approve was made by Brad Wolf, second by Chuck Richards. Motion carried. The approval was signed by Chairman Hoff.
The Land Subdivision Ordinance draft was presented for first reading. No discussion was given. Board will discuss at future meetings.
Building Inspector Contract was presented for Board approval. Motion to approve the UDC Building Inspector Agreement with Independent Inspections (Scott and Joyce Schiefelbein) made by Maynard Hoff, second by Chuck Richards. Motion carried.
Highway report was given by Phil Hoff. He reported he will be working with Mark Servi on bridge inspections. Phil also continues to cut trees an plow snow.

Robert Nelson was present to discuss road abandonment. This will be discussed at a future meeting.
Family House report and update was given by Autumn Hoff. The House is currently housing 6 clients. Salvation Army is continuing to plan the building of Tiny Houses on the property for clients. The plan is to gave them for occupancy by Fall of 2025. They are looking for mentorship, food and clothing.
Bills were presented for review. Motion to approve all for payment by Brad Wolf, second by Maynard Hoff. Motion carried.
Next meeting will be held on February 11, 2025 at 6:00 PM.
Clerk Fall noted the Primary Election to be held on February 18, 2025.
Phil Hoff’s employment contract was discussed. Discussion followed. Motion to approve the contract s agreed by Chuck Richards, second by Brad Wolf. Motion carried.
